We are looking for an enthusiastic Commis Pizza Chef to join our friendly kitchen team at Pizza on the Park. This full time position (45 hours per week worked over 4.5 shifts) offers a fantastic learning experience to an entry-level chef who knows the basics and is looking to take on a new challenge and that next step in their career! 

If you love your pizza and Italian food, you've probably heard of Pizza on the Park. Offering stunning Neapolitan style pizzas as well as other authentic Italian dishes in a recently renovated, bright and beautiful space filled with art and greenery with a vibrant open kitchen, Pizza on the Park is the place to be on Park Street for the best pizza in Bristol (if we say so ourselves).

Our goal is to have kitchen teams that are happy and productive - our chefs don't work crazy hours, have a supportive Head Chef who is willing to develop the team's skills and ensure a good work life balance, with Christmas off and a rota pattern that you can plan around! There is an excellent training ethic in this kitchen - progression is very possible for those that have the right attitude and get stuck in! 

As Commis Pizza Chef, you'll be working in our hot kitchen - helping produce our mouth-watering pizzas and other Italian dishes!

Key information for the Commis Pizza Chef role:

Hours: 45 hours per week (over 4.5 shifts per week)

Salary: £11.60 per hour plus monthly service charge/ tips which are shared between front and back of house

Signing on bonus: You will receive a £200 signing on bonus upon completion of a successful probation period (12 weeks)

A typical week! You will be working 4.5 shifts per week, to include weekend work on rotation. It would be possible to work this rota around existing college commitments so please do apply and ask if that is a concern!

You’re friendly, confident and a great team player. You love to cook with fresh, quality ingredients and are passionate about providing our valued customers with excellent food. You are able to maintain high standards in all aspects of your role, and are keen to learn and progress! You will be looking to get valuable experience within a fast-paced team where you'll get to be involved in service from the word go - not preparing veggies all day!

Ideally you'll have some basic experience with pizza - perhaps in making dough, hand stretching and in producing other Italian dishes. A willingness to learn and a great team ethic is a must though!
