We are looking for an engaging and proactive Restaurant and Events Assistant Manager to join our team at No4 Clifton Village! This full time position would suit someone who loves a varied work day - you'll be helping to run events such as weddings, baby showers, afternoon teas, business conferences and many more - take a look at our Instagram page for a slice of No.4 life! You'll also have a crucial role in running our a la carte service for our fantastic, fine-dining restaurant. This venue has so much to offer and we're looking for someone to help bring ideas to take us up to the next level!

Key information for the Assistant Restaurant and Events Manager role:

Hours: Full time, 42 hours per week (worked over 5 shifts on a rota, to include evening and weekend work)

Salary: Package up to £30,000 per annum (OTE) - consisting of a base salary of £26,500 ​per annum plus bonuses and service charge of up to £3,500 per annum.

Shift pattern: You will work 5 shifts a week to a rota (to include evenings and weekends). Evening availability is important as typical shifts will be 3pm-11:30pm, but there will be some earlier / daytime shifts on the rota to create balance (including the odd breakfast shift!). No.4 is not normally open on Sunday evenings after 7pm or on Mondays but this may occasionally change if we have events book in.

​We are looking for someone with some front of house experience. More importantly, though, we are looking for someone with a winning, fun-loving personality and energy coming out of their ears. No4 offers an exquisite fine dining menu and delicious drinks and cocktails so you’ll have a passion for great food and drink and be able to inspire your team to share your enthusiasm!

What you’ll be doing as Assistant Manager:

  • Taking ownership for restaurant bookings
  • Taking ownership over the cosy bar area, our Assistant Restaurant and Events Manager will have the opportunity to design seasonal cocktail menus
  • Working closely with our Events Manager to ensure events are executed in line with the guest's vision!
  • Checking guest feedback on Tripadvisor and other online forums and responding as needed
  • Training, holding one to one meetings and motivating your team to ensure they provide great service
  • Maintaining high standards
  • Checking stock levels and ordering stock
  • Cash handling and daily cash ups
  • Contributing ideas to maximise the success of the venue
  • Managing a small front of house team
