Quarter is looking for a hardworking and proactive Kitchen Porter to join our breakfast team at the Washington Guesthouse on a part time basis. Our Kitchen Porter position is part time (12-15 hours per week over 4-5 mornings per week) and would suit someone who is looking to get some early morning part time work alongside their studies or other commitments or who is looking progress in a kitchen and would like somewhere to start!

Key information for the Kitchen Porter role:

Salary: £10.50 per hour

A typical week! Based at the Washington Guesthouse, a typical week will see you working 4-5 morning shifts on the Washington’s busy breakfast service. Approximate shift times are 7am – 10.30am.

About our ideal Kitchen Porter:

You’re friendly, proactive and hardworking. You’re able to work thoroughly but efficiently, keeping to time restraints and deadlines with ease. Ideally, you’ll have some experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment, but full training will be provided so the most important thing is to have that hardworking attitude, friendliness and good time management!

What you’ll be doing as Kitchen Porter:

• Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen in line with Environmental Health standards (training will be provided)
• Washing up, cleaning all plates, pans and other items
• Putting away orders using good stock rotation practices
• Removing recycling and general waste to outdoor bins
