We are looking for a very special individual to take on the role of Bar Manager in the Square's stunning cocktail bar.

Reporting to the General Manager, Dan Keen, this full time position (45 hours per week) would be an excellent next step for someone looking to progress in their career. You will have the autonomy to put your own stamp on the bar and introduce your own creations to the drinks menu.

Key details for the role: 

Salary: £27,000 per annum plus on target earnings bonus of £1,800 per annum and service charge of up to £900 per annum - a package of £29,700 per annum.

Working pattern: 45 hours worked over 5 days to include most evenings and weekends. 

Who are we looking for in a Bar Manager?

• Previous experience with cocktails is paramount, as is a passion for hospitality and great customer service!
• You will be creative, have great taste and have a flair for devising new cocktails as well as having mastered the classics
  
• You must have experience in a supervisory position; you will need to be confident in taking the reins and managing your team
  
• Hard-working, organised individuals who have personality and are comfortable interacting with our customers
• A keen eye for detail
• An ability to think on your feet
• A positive, 'can-do' attitude
  

Key responsibilities for the Bar Manager position:

• Operational running of the Square lower deck cocktail bar - making sure that service levels are impeccable and the team look the part
  
• Ensuring the department meets GP targets
• Management and training of all bar members of staff; carrying out 1-2-1 meetings with your team
  
• Ensuring the venue meets licensing requirements (if you do not hold your own personal license then we will pay for you to get one)
• Liaising with other departments, both within the Square and across the company, to ensure the lower deck bar is portrayed in its best light in all marketing material
  
• Responsible for welcoming our members and their guests and maintaining the right atmosphere in our lower deck area
• Being a key member of the Square management team - working well with all other departments and the hotel
