Award-winning speakers, world-beating music acts and cutting-edge comedians is what you can expect at HowTheLightGetsIn – the Institute of Art and Ideas’ annual philosophy and music festival.
A unique feast of ideas and music, HowTheLightGetsIn is the only place on the planet where Nobel Prize winners cavort at masked balls to the sound of Mercury Prize nominees. This year’s festival will feature speakers including Noam Chomsky, Anna Soubry, Lawrence Krauss, Diane Abbott, Rowan Williams, Stanley Fish, Angela Eagle, Myriam Francois and many more. From the philosophy of post-truth to the future of feminism and the risks posed by superbugs, HowTheLightGetsIn 2018’s inventive debate programme will leave attendees with a whole new set of perspectives to carry away with them.
Beyond its more cerebral side, HowTheLightGetsIn 2018 features over 500 artists and performers across 12 stages, with headliners such as The Orb, The Correspondents and Brit Award nominee Nerina Pallot. A whole new batch of artists have just been released including Town of Cats, Harpo Smith and the Blanaevon Male Voice Choir.
A limited number of Tier 3 tickets are now on sale, with 30% off for Students and Under 25s. Don’t miss out on your chance to attend the world’s largest festival of philosophy and music.
