How to Host a Successful Meeting or Conference in Bristol
So you’re here because you’re planning a meeting or conference, but we would like to encourage you to sit back, relax and read on. At No.4 Clifton Village, we specialise in meeting and conference spaces and have seen events of all shapes and sizes, so we would like to take this opportunity to share our knowledge with you. We have witnessed our fair share of both good and bad meetings but there’s no joy in waiting to discover which one yours will be; here’s how to host your most successful meeting yet.
1. Select the Ideal Venue
The first step is to make sure the venue is central. Bristol is bigger than most of us realise so keeping your meeting in the centre ensures that everyone will be able to attend. A car park is always a great advantage and a venue that can hold capacities of all sizes is the next thing to consider. We are actually really fortunate to have an intimate car park at No.4 (especially being located in Clifton) and have 2 rooms for private hire which both facilitate different sizes.
2. Consider the Seating Arrangement
This can make or break your meeting or conference. Choose a space that can be laid out so everyone can see and hear what is being presented. Keep your eyes peeled for a Bristol meeting venue that has a variety of seating plans for you to consider. We know that this is a big help as our own online floor plans really help our customers with their final decision.
3. Ensure Your Venue has the Necessary Equipment
This can save you both hassle and money. If a venue has their own projector, complete with a HDMI/VGA input then that’s all you need. And if they don’t have wifi in this day and age, you should definitely look elsewhere. The majority of meeting venues know that most of you probably don’t have a projector to your name so this should be provided. In fact, we have two projectors at No.4. All we ask is that our customers bring in their laptop and we do the rest.
4. Feed Your Guests’ Appetites
A venue which serves food and drink is always an important aspect, especially when your meeting is more than a couple of hours long, because let’s admit it, sometimes fruit and biscuits just aren’t enough. Look around for a menu or two and see what your selected venue can offer. Our head chef at our award-winning restaurant serves everything from breakfast and snacks to lunch and evening meals during our events so don’t expect anything less from another venue.
With these 4 steps in mind and each requirement ticked off, you can now host a meeting to wow your guests. At No.4 we take bookings for meetings and conferences, which include all of the above, so don’t hesitate to contact us today.
