My Coffee Order

Posted on 9th December 2016

As well as being a firm favourite with tourists, students, hotel guests and locals, Caffe Clifton also has many loyal customers from within the Quarter family. We grabbed a few of them on their daily coffee run to ask them some important questions about their beverage habits…

Joanna

What is your typical order from Caffe Clifton?
I'm partial to a 'non-normal' hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream...a naughty Friday treat!

What is your position in the company and what do you love about your role?
I am HR Manager! My favourite thing is that I get to meet everyone in the company and get to know what is going on everywhere! We have some very interesting people working for us!

Would you rather… give up Chocolate or Coffee?
Except in liquid form (as above)...I'm not a massive fan of chocolate so happy to give that up...I would not be a nice person without my morning coffee!

Jaime-Lee

What is your position at the Company?
Account Manager of Air360

What is your typical order from Caffe Clifton?
Hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows

What is your favourite thing to do in Bristol at Christmas time?
Go to the Christmas German Market in the city centre and enjoy a nice mug of mulled wine or Bailey's hot chocolate! The atmosphere is always very festive and fun!!

Patricia

What is your position at the Company, and what is your favourite thing about your role?
I'm the Assistant Manager at the Washington Guesthouse and my favourite thing is my team, we get on really well and there's an incredible team spirit!

What is your typical order from Caffe Clifton?
Cappuccino, not too hot

Would you rather give up chocolate or give up coffee?!
Chocolate of course! I can't live without coffee!!!

 Patricia

Natasha

What is your position in the company?
Clifton Short Lets Manager - My favourite part is the fact that every day is different and poses new challenges! No two days are the same here!

What is your typical order from Caffe Clifton?
I would go for a hot choc at Caffe Clifton - especially now the cold weather has hit! It's one of the best especially when you can top it with cream and marshmallows and customise it with a syrup!

And your favourite festive thing to do in Bristol?
Around Christmas time I enjoy going for walks - if the weather is nice! Either up to the Downs or Ashton Court on a crisp winter's day, or down into town to soak up the Christmas shopping atmosphere

Amy

What is your position at the Company, and what is your favourite thing about your role?
HR Assistant. Favourite thing - finding and recruiting great people to join our already amazing teams! I also like that my position means I have regular contact with people from all areas of the company, and it feels like a real community!

What is your typical order from Caffe Clifton?
I love the vegan chocolate brownie and a flat white or, if I'm feeling frivolous, a caramel latte!

So would you rather give up chocolate or give up coffee?!
Definitely would rather give up coffee!

Marlena

What is your typical order from Caffe Clifton?
Large Latte, pastries (the cinnamon one is amazing) and the toastie with cheese for lunch.

What is your position in the company and what do you love about your role?
I am Manager of The Washington Guesthouse.

What is your favourite thing to do in Bristol at Christmas time?
I love the German Market that has been coming to Bristol for past few years, the hand made crafts and food is amazing ! I also love shopping for presents and going around stores to find the nicest Christmas tree.

What is your position at the Company, and what is your favourite thing about your role?
I am on the company’s graduate scheme. My favourite thing is being able to go around the company and feel like I know everyone whilst learning loads- a bit like a really big family who also educate me..! I hope people don’t see me as an annoying sister though!

What is your typical order from Caffe Clifton?
Flat white no questions. It has become and ongoing joke after a recent trip to my grandparents who had never heard of such a, to quote ‘modern and hip’ way of having coffee. Apparently in Cornwall, despite having Aidan Turner as a new hero for them in Poldark (who I am sure drinks them in his caravan!) they had no clue!

Would you rather give up coffee or chocolate?
Chocolate. I couldn’t live without my flat white before my shift.

Why not see what all the fuss is about and pop into Caffe Clifton for one of our seasonal hot drinks. If the thought of a Peppermint Hot Chocolate or a Cinnamon Cappuccino isn’t tempting enough we are giving away a free mince pie with every winter warmer hot drink special in December.  Happy Christmas!
