With Spring on its way let’s start with something delicate and floral! Heard of nastartium? Neither had we before our talented chefs at No.4 Clifton Village lavished it over our private dining menus. Literally translated from Latin as ‘nose twist’, these edible flowers add a powerful peppery taste to this dish along with their beauty on your plate.
Let’s stick to plants for a second and talk about samphire. This startlingly green herb is put to incredible use by the chefs at The Square Club - and it’s a refreshingly crispy addition to any dish. We think it’s on track to take over crispy kale in the race for most sought after green crunch. You heard it here first.
Okay, so it’s not a food item, but Sherry isn’t exactly your usual summer tipple. But Racks offer a great summer party menu including their mouth-watering Smokehouse BBQ with the apricot and couscous salad. A maple and Sherry dressing is drizzled on top. And if it’s only in the dressing then it’s definitely permissible at lunch times…
We all like a good sandwich for lunch but finding a unique filling can sometimes be a struggle. No4 Clifton Village have a delicious Crayfish, Rocket, Marie rose sandwich to keep you going throughout the day. Whether you are keeping your energy up in a conference or enjoying a day of celebrating, the sweet Crayfish meat will hit the spot.
Moving on for those with a sweeter tooth…the Square Kitchen put a beautiful spin on the Ferrero Rochero, creating their own mouth-watering Squarro Rocher ganache. Topped with vanilla ice cream, making room for this speciality is a must do!
To finish our delectable list of ingredients, how could we leave without talking about Truffles? The distinctive rich taste of truffles finishes off the Cauliflower soup at Racks perfectly.
