We’re Quarter — a local independent hospitality and property group based in Clifton, Bristol. We own and run boutique hotels, restaurants, short-let properties, and some seriously cool workspaces — all in beautiful listed buildings. We’re growing our Maintenance Team and looking for a Junior Maintenance Operative to jump in and learn the ropes.

This is full time position offering 40 hours per week, usually worked 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. A driving license is required. The salary ranges from £23,920 - £25,500 per annum.

What you’ll be doing as Junior Maintenance Team Member:

You'll support experienced team members across all sorts of day-to-day maintenance jobs and refurb projects, including:

• Planned and reactive maintenance across our hospitality properties in Clifton, Bristol
  
• Ripping out spaces ready for renovation
• Helping build stud walls and prep surfaces
• Basic decorating (painting, tiling, touch-ups)
• Installing kitchens, bathrooms, and furniture
• General maintenance (fixing sash windows, hanging shelves, replacing fuses, etc.)
• Once fully trained - you may carry out out of hours call-outs on a rota with the rest of the team - once every 6 weeks or so you would spend a few days to a week 'on-call', responding to maintenance issues in our buildings on weekday evenings and the weekend of your assigned 'on-call' week.

No two days are the same. You’ll get hands-on and learn loads.

• You’ve got basic experience using tools and doing small maintenance jobs
• You’re keen to learn, take direction, and pick up new skills fast
• You’re a friendly team player who’s not afraid to muck in
• You’re practical, reliable, and love problem solving
• A driving licence is required, as we would be added as a named driver of our company vans in order to get around the properties with ease

With opportunities to progress to more senior roles in the future, this position suits someone who wants to build a proper career in property maintenance and property development.
