Quarter is looking for a reliable, fun, and hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our team at the Square. This part time position offers 8+ hours per week, usually worked over 3 shifts each week. The weekly shift pattern will usually be Tuesday evenings (4:30-9:30pm) and two short Friday and Saturday lunchtime shifts (12pm-2pm). There may be some variation to this pattern from time to time on the rota. 

The Square is one of the most exciting and stylish venues in Bristol, combining an award-winning restaurant, exclusive private members club and lively bar. The Square is also one of the most sought after event spaces in the city, playing host to a variety of public events, as well as private weddings and other celebrations.

Details of the Kitchen Porter role:

• Based at either the Square in Clifton, Bristol
  
• 8+ hours per week - you can expect to work quite set days each week (detailed below), however there may be some variation to this pattern at times as per rota needs
• Shift pattern: Tuesdays between 4.30pm-9.30pm, plus up to 2 short lunchtime shifts (12pm-2pm) usually on Friday and Saturday. As such, availability for Tuesday evening and Friday and Saturday lunchtimes will be required in this role.
• Ideal for someone who lives within easy reach of the Square as some shifts are short.
• ​From £11.00 - £12.25 per hour plus a share of the service charge at the venue
  

What will you be doing as Kitchen Porter?

• Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen in line with Environmental Health standards (training will be provided)
• ​Washing up, cleaning all plates, pans and other items (all units have catering dishwashers)
• ​Putting away orders using good stock rotation practices
• ​Removing recycling and general waste to outdoor bins
  

Our ideal Kitchen Porter:

• May have had some prior experience in a similar role, but this is not required as full training will be offered
• Will have good availability across the week, including weekends.
• Will be a hard worker and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Will be a friendly and fun member of the team – willing to get stuck in!
• Will be reliable and committed to supporting the venue they are working in
