Quarter is looking for a proactive and organised Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join their team at The Clifton Hotel. This position is offered on a 30+ hours per week basis - worked over 5 days as needed. This will include some weekend work. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure that all housekeeping operations run smoothly. This is a great role where the management responsibility is divided between the manager and assistant manager - with both having a voice within the wider hotel management team. 

Key details for the Assistant Housekeeping Manager role:

Location: The Clifton Hotel, St Paul's Road, Clifton

Hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week. Usually worked over 5 days each week including some weekends. 

Rate of pay: £13 per hour plus monthly performance related bonus

Who do we need as Assistant Housekeeping Manager?

You will be a key support to the Housekeeping Manager, so being a team player is a must, as well as having the ability to take ownership over your responsibilities - ensuring they are delivered on time and to a great standard. You will have a great eye for detail and will be organised and proactive in ensuring The Clifton Hotel looks its best at all times!

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and who can share their passion with their team! You'll be able to prioritise effectively and will communicate well with other departments to ensure everyone is kept in the loop. 

We're looking for a person who can be hands on as well as act in a management capacity - these are small teams and we like everyone to have a 'muck in and help' mentality! 

Ideally, you'll have some supervisory experience in a similar role -  you may be someone looking for their first step into a management position. We have excellent ongoing development and have opportunities for further progression within the other hotels in the group. Reasonable IT skills and good English will be required for this role. 

What does a typical week look like for our Assistant Housekeeping Manager? 

You'll be working to a rota that includes weekends occasionally. You'll be responsible ensuring that the hotel rooms are clean and ready for guests on a daily basis. You'll assist the House Manager in analysing KPIs and working with the team to improve results accordingly.  

You'll be actively involved in ensuring that the rota meets requirements - keeping within budget whilst ensuring that there are sufficient staff on to deliver the cleaning needed. We have a long standing housekeeping team who very much look out for each other to ensure that the department runs as smoothly as possible. 

As with all our roles, there is a hands on element - with some cleaning being required alongside the more administrative aspects of this role. You'll assist with the weekly deep cleaning schedule and daily cleaning as needed.

You will also help ensure that all team members are well trained and operating efficiently.

Ultimately, you'll be the Housekeeping Manager's right hand person!
