As a Maintenance Operative, you will be working within a team responsible for the reactive and proactive maintenance for our portfolio of properties - we currently have luxury suites, four boutique hotels, four restaurants and numerous rental properties all based in Clifton. Most of our properties are Grade 2 listed - which adds another level of skill to this role! As you become more confident with our buildings, you will also be involved in our project work, redeveloping many of our spaces - from converting a derelict building into beautiful co-working offices to fitting new bathrooms and kitchens in our short let properties.
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri from 9-5 with occasional days each week on call (by rotation)
Salary: Salary of £22,500 per annum plus an average figure of £2,000 for annual 'call outs' - this figure could be exceeded (total package around £24,500).
Holiday: 28 days paid holiday per annum including Bank Holidays - when not on call, Bank Holidays are usually not worked.

You’re friendly, outgoing and a hard worker. You are handy and ideally have a sound basic knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing and electrics. You have great attention to detail and a desire to learn, improve and succeed. You are able to work both in a team and unsupervised, and are able to think on your feet! You observe health and safety rules closely.

The interview process:
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by email first to confirm a time for a first round telephone interview. The interview process will involve a first round telephone interview with a member of the HR team and candidates will then be invited for an interview with Hotels & Development Director via Zoom. The final stage will be for selected candidates to attend a half-day trial (approx. 3 hours) with the Maintenance and Property Development team. The trial will include a small practical task and the chance to meet current team members. Social distancing guidelines will be maintained throughout and you will be required to wear a face covering (as will our team). Candidates will need to demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK at the first round interview (showing a passport or ID card and/or visa).
