Racks Bar & Kitchen are looking for a confident, skilled and fun Chef de Partie to join our team on a full time basis.

Located on St Paul's Road in Clifton (BS8), Racks has a reputation for a friendly, fun atmosphere, and fantastic seasonal food (always from fresh, locally sourced ingredients)! This is a hugely popular venue - welcoming locals, tourists, sports fans, small and large groups and families alike. Racks has a large, cosy and vibrant indoor space as well as a stunning outdoor terrace - perfect for summer barbecues and parties! Our team needs to stand out - to provide the warmest welcome and top quality food and to ensure each customer leaves wanting to return.

This is a rare opportunity to join a very established and high-performing kitchen team in one of Clifton's most popular restaurants - openings in the Racks kitchen team don't crop up very often, so if you want to be a part of the action get in touch!

Key information for the Racks Chef de Partie role:

Hours: Full time - 45 hours per week on a rota basis

Pay: £31,875 package, comprising a basic salary of £29,000 per annum plus approx. £2875 per annum in service charge (paid monthly)

A typical week:  As Chef de Partie at Racks Bar & Kitchen you will be part of a close team who work hard to get the job done but have fun at the same time! You will be helping to supervise more junior chefs and will also get to contribute ideas to menus.

​What you’ll be doing as Chef de Partie:

• ​Preparing and cooking food for our à la carte and private event menus
• Supporting more junior chefs
• Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy during your shift
• Acting as a good team player

You’re friendly, confident and a great team player. You love to cook and are passionate about providing our customers with excellent food. You are able to work at pace, maintain high standards in all aspects of your role, and are keen to learn and progress!

Ideally, you’ll have some experience within a similar busy kitchen but this is not a requirement - it's more important that you have great skills, a passion for food and the right attitude!

This would be a great opportunity for an existing Chef de Partie who is looking to build upon previous experience and knowledge in a thriving and successful restaurant or for a confident Commis chef or Demi Chef de Partie looking to take a step up in their career. You will be joining a passionate and highly skilled team and so it will be a great opportunity to learn quickly and develop your skills!
