Quarter is looking for a friendly, sales driven and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join the team at The Washington Guesthouse.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has had some experience working in hotels - perhaps as a head receptionist or Reception/front desk supervisor. You will be responsible the management of the reception and night porter teams - ensuring that they are happy, performing well and getting the training and development they need.
Hours: Full time (40 hours per week) working shifts to a rota that will include evening and weekend work.
Salary: A package of up to £29,500 per annum including on target bonus earnings (comprising basic salary of £26,000 per annum, guaranteed loyalty bonus of £500 per annum and £3,000 per annum on-target performance based bonus).
A typical week will see you doing a mixture of early (7am – 3pm) shifts or late shifts (2pm – 10pm) or day shifts (9 - 5pm). Rotas are done, by you, for 3 week blocks to give as much notice to you as possible of your shifts.
This role would suit anyone looking to take their first steps in managing a team. Whilst the scope of the role is mainly managing reception, you will be a key member of the hotel management team and will have a voice at a higher level. This is a role where you will find yourself learning every day and honing your people and business management skills.

Applicants will be contacted by email in the first instance to arrange a a time for an informal phone interview. If you are successful at this stage, you will have a more formal, Zoom-based first-round interview with the Group Hotel Operations Manager.
