Bar Supervisor - Creative Cocktail Bar | 35 hrs per week | The Square Club, Clifton, Bristol

Love great quality drinks and cocktails, good conversation, and the buzz of a busy night? We’re on the lookout for a charismatic, hands-on Bar Supervisor to join our small, close‑knit team at The Square Club - Bristol’s hidden gem for bespoke private and corporate events, tucked away on Berkeley Square in Clifton.

This is a full time role offering 35 hrs+ per week, worked over 5 shifts on a rota basis. Alongside our Bar Manager, as Supervisor you’ll play a key role in leading our intimate cocktail bar within our private members’ club and boutique hotel. Expect beautifully crafted drinks and cocktails with personality, laid-back weekday service, and vibrant weekend and evening energy - from private parties to weddings and industry mixers.

• £12.50/hr + monthly tips estimated at approx. £3222 per annum. Based on 35 hours per week, this equates to an on-target package of £25,972 – a total that can be exceed with any overtime past your contracted 35 hrs per week (no 0-hours here!)

What you’ll be doing as Bar Supervisor:

• Supervising our decadent members’ and events bar, and acting as duty manager when the Bar Manager’s off, and working alongside them on certain shifts also
• Leading by example - crafting drinks, chatting with guests and members, and keeping the vibe spot on
• Training and supporting our small but mighty bar team
• Playing your part in keeping to GP targets, service standards, and keeping presentation on point
• Creating a warm, engaging, and distinctly Square guest experience - from BBC presenters to wedding guests, we want our customers leaving with a smile!

What you bring:

• Bartending experience in a quality, fast‑paced bar - and ideally some supervisory background
• A passion for great drinks, creativity, and real hospitality
• A confident, proactive style - calm, sharp and personable
• Flair for detail and presentation - able to set the tone for the team
• A natural people person - you’ll make everyone feel at home
