A rare opportunity has arisen for a talented Sous Chef to join our brigade at The Square. The successful candidate will take a senior role in producing exquisite modern British / European cuisine as part of a friendly, supportive team of six chefs and three kitchen porters. Working with the finest locally sourced fresh ingredients, our new Sous Chef can expect to work to our seasonal à la carte menu, private dining events, weddings, member functions and much more!
The Square is one of the most exciting and stylish venues in Bristol, combining an award-winning restaurant, exclusive private members club and lively bar. The Square is also one of the most sought after event spaces in the city, playing host to a variety of public events, as well as private weddings and other celebrations.
Key information for the Sous Chef role:
Hours: Full time - 45 hours per week
Salary: Package of £32,740, comprising £28k basic salary, a guaranteed £1,500 loyalty bonus (paid in January), KPI bonus and service charge
Signing on bonus: You will receive a £500 signing on bonus split across your first two pay periods

The interview process:
The interview process will involve a first round telephone interview with a member of the HR team. Applicants who are successful at this stage will then be invited in to a cooking trial ('mystery box' of ingredients provided) followed by a tasting and short interview with the Head Chef and General Manager for the Square.
