Quarter is looking for a talented, creative and proactive Head Chef to lead our team at Racks Bar & Kitchen on a full time basis.
Racks Bar & Kitchen is one of the most established and well regarded bars in Bristol – the home of the £5 lunch and the best Sunday roast in Bristol!
Key information for the Head Chef role:
Hours: Full time, 45 hours per week on a rota basis
Salary: Competitive with monthly/quarterly bonuses
A typical week may see you doing a mixture of evenings and day shifts – the kitchen is open from 7am until 10.30pm, so there is always something on the go!

About our ideal Head Chef:
You will be an experienced Sous or higher chef perhaps from a gastro pub background. You’ll be a great team leader and will put effort in to develop the team you have. You’ll be confident developing menus from BBQ to Healthy menus, £5 lunch to Wedding menus – always bringing your creativity to the fore. You’ll also have a business mind and be able to keep an eye on your costs!
Ultimately, you’ll bring fresh ideas to the table and will work well with other departments to ensure Racks remains at the top of its game!
What you’ll be doing as Head Chef:
Racks’ kitchen is on the go from 7am (when they serve breakfast for the Clifton Hotel) up to 10.30pm when the restaurant closes so you’ll never be bored!
